Samsung Galaxy S II

Samsung Galaxy S II

Let us start our Android based smartphone reviews with the most popular Android phone in South Korea, the Galaxy S II, manufactoed by the Korean based Samsung Electronics.

Originially comes with the 2.3.5 Gingerbread Android version, and has become Apple's iPhone biggest rival. It took some time to the Galaxy to step on American soil and is still under the iPhone on the market's demand but controls the Korean and the UK's market. being the most popular phone among users who prefer the Android based smartphones.

This phone comes with a 1.2 Ghz dual core processor and 1GB of RAM, giving the GS II a smooth interface and a great multitasking interaction (which is an important aspect on smartphones).
Also comes with a 4.3 in screen, which is pretty much bigger than most of the other popular phones on the market (including the iPhone), also comes with an integrated 8 megapixel camera and a flash capable of recording 1080p HD videos, helping to grow the popularity among pretty good built phones.

As we mentioned before the phone comes with Android's Gingerbread version and its finished with TouchWiz 4.0, Samsung's latest custom interface, whih includes an interface with aset of widgets for the clock, calendar, social network and some other functions, which along with the notification bar giving the GS a speciall touch and improving the management of on/off functions like GPS, wifi, airplane mode and also brightness adjust.

Talking a little bit about the apps that this phone comes with, the users give positive reviews with the set of calculator, text-messaging app, file manager, photo and video editor but also the Task Manager comes really handy when you need to close those apps that you are not longer using and do nothing else but take some RAM space.

Now mentioning the building, it seems a little bit plastic-ish but at the same time pretty firm, so I would give the Galaxy S II a good rating on both hardware and software.
